Welcome to RGU and congratulations on starting your new role.
This guide will help you get started, taking you through connecting your device to the docking station, RGU Network and Eduroam (Wi-Fi), Initial login, accessing and using the Company Portal, and for Uniflow Printing.
Connecting your work laptop to the RGU Network
If your workstation is set up with an HP Docking station, plug the USB-C cable in the USB-C Port on your Laptop (shown below)
Once connected to the docking station, the network connection should automatically connect to the RGU network.
Once the Connection is established, at the RGU Sign In screen Enter your credentials: Username and password [email protected] and your Password.
(Eduroam - Wi-Fi Setup) Set up EDUROAM using the GETEDUROAM app
Ensure you are online by connecting to an existing internet connection on your Android, Apple, or Windows device. You can use either a Wi-Fi network or your mobile data.
Next, install the geteduroam app. Open the ‘Play Store geteduroam – Apps on Google Play or App Store geteduroam on the App Store from your apps list, search for ‘geteduroam’, and select ‘Install’. Alternatively, you can visit the GetEduroam website at http://www.geteduroam.app
*Note* - If you have previously downloaded the ‘eduroam CAT’ app, remove it along with any associated configuration files. If you have manually set up eduroam before, delete this configuration as well. To do this, go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Wi-Fi’, select and hold ‘eduroam’ for several seconds, and choose ‘Forget network’ if the option appears.
Initial Logon and Setup for Your RGU Device:
When you receive your laptop, you will need to be connected to the internet to enrol your device on the cloud system, please do this during the initial setup phase (using Wi-Fi) or connect your laptop to your RGU dock or home router with a cable.
When prompted enter your RGU email address and password
Your PC will then connect and begin the initial configuration of the laptop.
Once complete, you will log into your device using your RGU email and Password.
After the initial enrolment, your PC will need to download and install the core applications, polices, and settings, please be patient as this can take a couple of hours. Rebooting your laptop is also advisable, particularly during the first couple of days.
