Microsoft Clutter
Clutter is an email sorting tool available to Office 365 customers.  Clutter can move your low priority messages out of your Inbox so you can easily scan for important messages. Clutter analyzes your email habits, and based on your past behavior, it determines the messages that you’re most likely to ignore. It then moves those messages to a folder called Clutter, where you can review them later. Microsoft's full description of Clutter is available here.

By default we’ve turned Clutter off for students. If you’d like to start using it:
  1. Sign into Webmail at https://outlook.office.com
  2. On the top bar click the cog icon then Options
  3. Within the Mail section select Automatic Processing then Clutter
  4. Choose Separate items identified as clutter then click Save

If you turn it on you’ll see the Clutter folder appear in your mailbox. It can take a few days to learn what emails it should catch so you might not notice it working until then. Clutter can still make mistakes so don’t forget to check the folder regularly to make sure you don’t miss anything important.
