Firstly can you ensure you have fully restarted your device and retest Citrix, we have seen this fixes many Citrix problems, if that fails please follow the instructions below to reset Citrix.


For Windows:

  1. In the lower right corner, near the clock, select the up arrow
  2. Right-click on the Citrix Workspace icon
  3. Steps to get to advanced preferences. Select up arrow, right click Citrix Icon and then select Advanced Preferences.
  • Select Advanced Preferences
  • Delete Passwords



Go back into Advance Preferences in Step one 


Select Reset Citrix Workspace

  • Click on Reset Citrix Workspace and respond Yes when prompted to confirm your choice
  • After resetting you will need to add an account again, Enter myapps.rgu.ac.uk for the account/server
  • if asked to login login using your full RGU email address
  • select XD7EXT if prompted for a connection type


When you now open Citrix it should connect to the correct servers and should open any applications again.


For Mac:


click on the citrix icon on the top bar and then click Preferences






Then click on Accounts, select the account that is there and then press - to delete (if you have more then one setup then repeat the deletion till all are gone.


Then click on the + to add a new account configuration:


And type in as the server: https://myapps.rgu.ac.uk and then click add


then on the next screen:

Login with your full RGU email address and password.

and then on the next screen:



Click XD7EXT
and click select

And that should have reconfigured your citrix workspace
