To install Citrix see the instructions below, we would strongly recommend you have recently restarted your device and ensure you have the latest updates.
For Windows 10/11
- Launch your web browser
- Go to https://www.citrix.com/en-gb/downloads/workspace-app/windows/
- Download and run the installer for the Citrix Workspace App
- The following window will appear. You can put in your own RGU email here or type in myapps.rgu.ac.uk. Type in one of those and press Continue.
- Select XD7EXT
- You will then be asked to Login
- Please login using: Full RGU email address
- Enter your RGU password.
- Click Remember my credentials checkbox
- You may be asked to enter these details a couple of times
7.If everything went smoothly, you'll see the following screen, and you'll be ready to use the Citrix Apps and Virtual Desktops.
For Mac

Launch your web browser

Go to https://www.citrix.com/en-gb/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html
- Download the Citrix Workspace app from there.
- Navigate to the default location files are set to download for your Mac, and double-click CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg
- Double Click on Install Citrix Workspace
- When prompted, click Continue/Allow
- Click on Agree to continue.
- Click Install
- The installer might ask you to type in your local Mac account user name and password, please do so and click Install Software
- At the end of install select "Add Account"
- Type in myapps.rgu.ac.uk in the Store URL and press Continue.
- Select XD7EXT
- When asked put in your RGU email address and password and click on "Remember my password"
- And you are ready to use all apps and Virtual Desktops that are available for you.
