You will need to enter the Settings menu for your device

For some Android devices you may need to go to a Network/Internet menu 

Select WiFi

Select Eduroam from the available options and enter the following settings 

(some may be listed under an Advanced tab):

- EAP method: PEAP 

- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2 

- CA certificate: Do Not Validate 

Your identity is your RGU email address

Your password is your normal network password

You should now be able to Connect to Eduroam

Eduroam Connection Troubleshooting

If you have issues with connecting, the first step to resolve this will be to Forget the network and re-connect.

To forget Eduroam:

- enter the WiFi menu

- select and hold Eduroam

- select the Forget option

Following this, re-establish the connection by the method above.

If this fails, you can go to where there may be an Installer app available.

Click on the Download Eduroam Installer button.

A pop up will appear for you to select an Institution, enter "Robert" in the search box and select RGU.

Click the link to download the app to your device and run it.  This may redirect you to your device's app store.

Once you run the installer it will ask you to login, please login using your full RGU email address, i.e. in the form

This should allow a connection to the network.

If this fails you will need to contact the IT Helpdesk.

In order to progress your issue you should provide the following:

Device Type

MAC address (The link below will give you instructions on how to get your MAC address)

Location and time connection was attempted
