You will need to enter the WiFi menu for your device.
For iPad and iPhones this will be under Settings
For MacOS this is under System Preferences - Network - WiFi
Select Eduroam from the available options
Your username is your RGU email address
Your password is your normal network password
If prompted to Trust a certificate from eduroam.rgu.ac.uk, do so
You should now be able to Join the Eduroam network
Eduroam Connection Troubleshooting
If you have issues with connecting, the first step to resolve this will be to Forget the network and re-connect.
To forget Eduroam:
- enter the WiFi menu
- for iPad\iPhone select Eduroam and then Forget This Network
- for Macs enter the Advanced menu and click the minus symbol to remove Eduroam (you may be prompted for administrative access for your device during this)
Once the network is forgotten, re-establish the connection by the method above.
If this fails, you can go to https://cat.eduroam.org/ where there may be an Installer app available.
This should allow a connection to the network.
If this fails you will need to contact the IT Helpdesk.
In order to progress your issue you should provide the following:
MAC address (The link below will give you instructions on how to get your MAC address)
Location and time connection was attempted
