You will need to enter the Settings menu for your device
For some Android devices you may need to go to a Network/Internet menu
Select Eduroam from the available options and enter the following settings
(some may be listed under an Advanced tab):
- EAP method: PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA certificate: Do Not Validate
Your identity is your RGU Email address in the format email@example.com
Your password is your normal network password
You should now be able to Connect to Eduroam
Eduroam Connection Troubleshooting
If you have issues with connecting, the first step to resolve this will be to Forget the network and re-connect.
To forget Eduroam:
- enter the WiFi menu
- select and hold Eduroam
- select the Forget option
Following this, re-establish the connection by the method above.
If this fails, you can go to https://cat.eduroam.org/ where there may be an Installer app available.
This should allow a connection to the network.
If this fails you will need to contact the IT Helpdesk.
