This resource is an introduction to Panopto, the University's lecture and presentation capture system. 


Using Panopto you can make a recording of your audio, video, PowerPoint slides and desktop. 

Here we'll show you some of the main features of the system, including how to capture your recordings and make them available in your CampusMoodle module. 

We will also show how you can manage and edit your recordings afterwards and showcase the wide variety of ways you can use Panopto within your teaching or work.

Tips

  • Webcams like only to be connected to one app at a time so if you are getting a black screen please ensure any other camera using apps like Teams and Zoom are closed.
  • When uploading recordings to Panopto these can take some time depending on the length and network speed of the machine you are uploading from. If the processing or upload is interrupted then it can fail and the processing and uploading would need to be restarted.
